Job Summary/ Context:

Sr. Researcher/Researcher work with team members under the supervision of the Manager Researcher. They help determine the goals of the research & Product development work as well as research methods and other test parameters. Sr. Researcher/Researcher might also review and analyze data during the trial. Employers typically prefer candidates with a post-graduate degree and computer skills. Professionals in this position, who may also be called researchers, supervise research Trial, Implementation, and Execution from the early planning stages to research completion. AR Malik Seeds’ research and development department searching for a qualified candidate who will be able to do this work properly.

Key Assignments/ Duties: (Table of staff’s key duties according to priority)

Responsibility #1: Trial Organization and Implementation        % of Time
Trial & demonstration plot design and implementation. Seed samples receiving & matching the sample with the provided list from head office. Germination test and seedling preparation.  20%
Responsibility #2:  Trial Execution 
Monitoring seedbed preparation, field preparation, seed germination, transplanting of seedlings, and management practices (weeding, irrigation, fertilizer, pesticide applications, etc.)20%
Responsibility #3: Data collection   
Data collection and capture photographs & Videos and uploading to the server. Daily observation of trial and demonstration plot and take necessary actions.25%
Responsibility #4: Report preparation       
Sorting & ranking of varieties based on their performances. Prepare the reports including all the observations and the characteristics of specific crop varieties.25%
Responsibility #5: Technical support         
Provide technical support to all the stakeholders (farmers, dealers, and staff), sales and marketing team, and in their programs as well. Regular visits to the farmers’ fields and market places.10%

Management Trainee

Required Qualification:

Minimum Post Graduation in Agriculture from any recognized Agricultural University.  

Required Knowledge/experience/Others:

At List, One year but 2 + years of research experience will added value. The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Horticulture, Agronomy, Genetics, Plant breeding, plant pathology, etc). Good knowledge of research design, data analysis, and research methodology.Age 23 to 35 years. Both males and females are allowed to apply. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes. Must be dynamic, energetic, self-motivated, and self-organized with a positive attitude.

Required Skills:

Have skills in interpretation and presentation and report writing. Computer knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.Communication skills both verbal and written in English and Bangla.
