Yesterday on 13/05/2025 Malik Seeds organized the great event, titled “Inauguration of Onion Cold storage and processing center” at Sujanagar, Pabna, with the technical and management support from Delta Dutch ltd and Advance Consulting.
Malik Seeds has achieved the significant milestone of agricultural excellence and economic prosperity by implementing the project of Onion Impact Cluster (OIC), Bangladesh. In this inauguration event, Mr Thijs Woudstra, Charge D Affaires, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands was the chief guest, and MD Rafiul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer was the Chair of the event.
Also Mr. AK Osman Haruni, senior policy advisor, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands; Mr. Ataus Sopan Malik, Managing Director, Malik seeds; Mr. Zulficar Haider Prodhan, chief scientific officer, Spices Research Centre; Irma Verhoosel, cluster coordinator, Advance consulting; and Safen Saifi, Deltadesh Pvt. ltd. were attended as special guests.
Mr Tanvir Ahmed from Delta Dutch ltd, Irma Verhoosel from Advance consulting and Nabi Khan from Lal Teer were present the key notes on functionality of storage equipment, research findings and results. Mr Md Shamim Alom, Manager- Market Development of Malik Seeds was moderated and anchored the inauguration session very effectively, where more than 100 representatives from companies, private sectors, researchers, development agencies, government departments, business associations, farmers, market actors, and investors, etc.
