Since its establishment in 1969, Malik Seeds has been a prominent supplier of hybrid vegetable and potato seeds to farmers across Bangladesh. We take pride in marketing climate-tolerant and disease-resistant seeds sourced from globally renowned breeding companies, including Sakata Seed Corporation from Japan, Mikado, BASF Nanhems based in Germany, and Agrico from the Netherlands.

Malik Seeds operates with four (4) sister concerns, each contributing to various facets of the agricultural sector.

AR Malik Seeds: This concern focuses on agricultural development by importing hybrid vegetable seeds, monitoring field-level results, and engaging in variety development, marketing, and various developmental activities.

Mallk & Co: Specializing in the import and marketing of high-quality seed potatoes, Mallk & Co plays a pivotal role in the seed industry.

DISB Solution: DISB Solution contributes to agricultural development through the integration of modern information technology and media campaigns, effectively disseminating essential information to farmers.

Maliks Farm: Operating on a commercial scale, Maliks Farm produces and markets safe vegetables and fruits, utilizing its own farms and collaborating with organized farmers.

In addition, Malik Seeds has established a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) center in Birganj upazila, Dinajpur district. This concern plays a crucial role in research and variety development, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in agricultural products.

The primary goal of Malik Seeds is to enhance farmers’ income by reducing the production costs of crops. To achieve this, Malik Seeds operates in every district of Bangladesh, striving to establish sustainable markets. The company firmly believes that farmers may lose interest in farming if they are unable to generate a profit. In this context, access to quality seeds is crucial for farmers to prosper. Malik Seeds offers high-yielding, disease-resistant, and in-demand vegetable and potato seeds to support farmers in their endeavors.

Malik Seeds’ representatives diligently provide accurate and high-quality seeds to farmers through a network of authorized dealers. Their extensive network includes seed dealers, retail seed sellers, pioneer farmers, commercial farmer groups, farm implement dealers, vegetable wholesalers, as well as government and private service providers. This widespread distribution effort is supported by 13 regional offices and a dedicated team of approximately 250 staff members across the nation.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Bangladesh, recently honoured Mr. Ataus Sopan Malik, Managing Director of Malik Seeds, with the Agricultural Important Person (AIP) award.

Malik’s Farm recently attained Global G.A.P certification for mangoes and four vegetables, following a rigorous evaluation by the Control Union of the Netherlands. Additionally, in partnership with Malik Seeds and DEG Impulse, we are currently assisting 1,000 vegetable farmers in Gaibandha and Bogra districts to pursue Global G.A.P certification for seven different types of vegetables.

In 2022, A R Malik Seeds achieved a significant milestone by being recognized as the best company in the agricultural research, innovation, and technology category at the prestigious Standard Chartered Channel I Agro Awards.

Malik Seeds has established strategic partnerships with a range of organizations, including JICA, Bangladesh Bank, Directorate of Agricultural Extension, CARE IDE, Swisscontact’s M4C Project, World Vision, Helvatas, Concern, USAID’s Feed the Future, ODSD, and other development and private organizations. Together, these partnerships are dedicated to delivering high-quality and safe agricultural products to farmers through production and marketing activities.

Malik Seeds is the sole private seed marketing organization with a dedicated workforce bridging the gap between farmers and input and output markets.
